Meet CSTK East Parts Director: Mario Sokolowski
“I love that there is always a new challenge. No day is ever the same. But my favorite part of the job is making connections between our people, the customers, and our vendors.”
Since being promoted to CSTK East Parts Director during the covid crisis, Mario Sokolowski has hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back. Basically, he oversees the entire parts department for our four locations on the East coast including strategic planning, managing our parts inventory, making sure our processes and procedures are aligned, and setting CSTK up for success in the future.
“I actually started in the boating industry,” Mario explains. “One of my customers at the time was a CSTK employee who mentioned that there was a position available for their parts team. I came in and interviewed and had the job by the end of the day.”
Mario immediately started putting his stamp on the department, focusing on growth and customer service.
“We needed to get better. We needed to become more ‘customer-centric’. That meant faster turnaround on estimates. More deliveries. More parts options. I wanted a much more sense of urgency in providing world-class service to our customers,” Mario says.
And thanks to his leadership and the team’s hard work, that is exactly what happened. Alongside Mario, CSTK East Parts department has now grown to include a manager in our Bethlehem location, a supervisor in our Philadelphia location, 8 parts specialists, and 5 delivery drivers. We’ve clearly been busy!
“We work with the top vendors in the industry – Thermo King for transport refrigeration, and Aurora for trailer parts. These are great brands that never stop improving and that’s how we operate, as well. There’s a lot of exciting stuff on the horizon for this industry. Online ordering. Inventory management for specific customer accounts. Perhaps even on-site 3d printing of parts. It’s going to be amazing for our customers, and I promise that CSTK will be in the lead developing and implementing all these exciting advancements.”
