Celebrating Sue Stoduto’s 35th Anniversary
At CSTK, we know that our competitive advantage lies with the team of people we have working here. To be a CSTK employee means to care deeply about the work that you do and the customers that you serve. Nobody embodies these traits more than Sue Stoduto, Parts Manager for our CSTK East locations. As she gets ready to celebrate her 35th anniversary here at CSTK, we want to wish her a heartfelt congratulations and to let her know just how much we appreciate her dedication throughout the years.
“CSTK has been a wonderful place to spend my career,” Sue explains. “Every day is different. Different people. Different problems. Different adventures. We’re always busy in the parts department and no day is the same. It makes the day go by quick.”
One of the main reasons why Sue has been so successful for so long is the team she works with. She is quick to credit the entire parts department for the way they handle business.
“It may be my name that says ‘Manager’ but it’s the Parts Department as a whole that gets the job done,” she says. “We all work very well together. There’s a lot of comradery because we all work hard and we all see the big picture. When one of us does well, we all do well. That means a lot – when you respect and care about the people you work with, it makes it much easier to come into the office.”
And although Sue goes out of her way to deflect attention, her expertise and dedication are hard not to notice. As the 2x time winner of the Thermo King Parts Manager of the Year, she has been recognized by all as one of the industry’s top performers.
“I’m proud of that award and what it meant for the department. When I first started, there were very few women in this line of work. I would have customers asking me why they were talking to a woman about parts. It was tough. But CSTK and Thermo King believed in me. They believed in having a diverse workplace where gender or race didn’t limit what you could do. I’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry in my 35 years. But the increasing diversity is one I’m most happy about, and I think winning those awards was a small part of the change. It was a big deal, and it meant a lot to me.”
Congratulations, Sue! You have been an important part of CSTK’s success for a long time and we are grateful for everything you do!
