CSTK East Provides Refuge for Drivers

Posted - April 14, 2020

Now more than ever, communities and businesses are depending on each other to lend a helping hand. As the economy and daily life continue to be affected by the corona virus, CSTK operations, such as our East Division facilities, are not only still supporting the essential functions of the transportation industry, but also helping the drivers struggling under the current conditions, as well. While our actual buildings are still off limits due to the pandemic, CSTK East has set up washing, rest, and restroom stations in the parking lot in order to make it a little easier on the truck drivers who are keeping our country going right now.

???We’re just trying to help out as much as we can,??? explains CSTK East General Manager and Vice-President Jamie Cressman. ???You see the news stories about drivers not being able to go to the restroom because the rest areas are closed. They can’t get anything to eat. They can’t take a shower. As one of the few parts and service locations that is still open in the area, and knowing how important our drivers are, we wanted to do something to support them. So we’ve set up our own makeshift ???rest area’. We put up tents, put out portable restrooms, we’ve got power cords available if they need to charge a phone or tablet, we can even clean and sanitize the cab. Anything we can do to help.???

As we continue to deal with the fallout from the virus, CSTK wants to assure all our customers, clients, and partners that the work goes on! We remain open for business, ready to fulfill any and all parts, service, or maintenance requests you may have. But more than that, we want you all to know how much we appreciate the great work our industry is doing right now. When this is over, and business gets back to normal, it will be because of the heroic efforts of men and women like our truckers. Thank you all.
