CSTK JCB Time Capsule Excavation Shawnee, Kansas City Hall
CSTK JCB of Kansas City was recently featured on FOX 4 Kansas City. On January 13th, a CSTK JCB backhoe helped excavate a 25 year old time capsule buried January 13, 1990 at the Shawnee, Kansas City Hall. Inside the time capsule we found many things relating to the 1990’s; including a McDonalds Happy Meal, a pair of shoes, a Koosh ball, Polaroid photographs, a bottle of homemade wine, and many handwritten letters.
The time capsule dig site was then replaced with a new time capsule that will not be opened for another 50 years. The new time capsule contains various items relevant to the current time period of the area including; an Iphone, taser, and gear from the Royals World Series.
