CSTK Kansas City Team Takes 3rd at Armourdale Renewal Association Charity Pickleball Tourney
At CSTK Kansas City, supporting the communities we serve is more than a value—it’s part of our identity. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Armourdale Renewal Association, a dedicated nonprofit focused on revitalizing the Armourdale district of Kansas City, Kansas. From neighborhood improvement projects to youth engagement programs, ARA is doing vital work to build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community—and CSTK is honored to help fuel that mission.
One recent highlight of our partnership was ARA’s first-ever Pickleball Tournament, hosted as a fundraiser for the 2025 Summer Youth Program—a vital initiative that provides educational activities, mentorship, and positive engagement for local youth during the summer months. CSTK was proud to be a sponsor of the event, and even prouder to see two of our own—Rick Arnold and Phil Aitken—bring home third place honors in the tournament! Their participation showcased not only CSTK’s community spirit but also our willingness to jump into the fun for a good cause.
“Thank you to Rick and Phil!” says CSTK Administrative Manager and Amourdale Renewal Association President Dinie Sanders. “We were all rooting for them and they came in 3rd! It’s great to work at a place where you can get support for great causes. We have a lot of special people at CSTK that love to pitch in and help.”
The impact of this support is already being felt, as the Summer Youth Program is currently underway, offering young people in Armourdale a safe space to learn, grow, and stay active. These programs help reduce crime, encourage leadership, and create lasting community connections.
But the momentum doesn’t stop there. Armourdale Renewal Association is currently gearing up for their next major fundraising effort—the 2025 Armourdale 5K Charity Run/Walk—and they’re looking for sponsors, donors, and participants. This family-friendly event is another great opportunity for local businesses, residents, and volunteers to come together and invest in the neighborhood’s future.
